When it comes to purchasing a portal gear lift, we understand that it is a massive investment into ones Side By Side. Before you make any purchase, we want to make sure you are fully informed and understand what you are committing to.
Currently UTV Canada distributes Super ATV Portal Gear Lifts in a variety of different gear reduction, material compositions, and frame stiffeners. UTV Canada does not stock any Portal Gear Lifts, and since they can be very complicated items, we will be placing special orders with Super ATV to ensure you get your products as quickly as possible.

The Value Of A Portal Gear Lift
The whole concept around adding portal gear lifts on your machine is to give it some needed Torque performance while keeping your suspension in-tact. A portal gear lift gives you extra clearance and gear reduction all in one package.
Compared to a traditional lift kit with spacers, you place more tension on your axles, suspension, and drive train parts. With a Portal Gear Lift however, they allow you to keep ts allow you to keep the geometry of your machine in alignment, and not place tremendous amount of stress on the machine.
A portal gear lift works for any riding style, whether it be mudding, rock crawling, trails, racing etc.

Purchasing a Portal Gear Lift may feel like a daunting task, especially if you are not 100% familiar with what you need. You want to ensure your hard -earned money is well worth the investment and the Portal Gear Lift will match your expectations. Here is everything you generally need to consider when looking to purchase a Portal Gear Lift.
Each of these plays a factor into the overall pricing structure of Portals.
Billet Vs. Cast
One of the very first things you need to consider when looking to purchase a Portal Gear Lift is the material it's made from. Portal Gears come in two material types; Billet or Cast.
Billet housings are stronger compared to traditional cast housings. Cast aliminum may contain small microscopic air pockets that may impede their strength. While billet ensures a purer material and hence a stronger portal.
Gear Reduction
After you have chosen what housing material you would like your portal gear reduction, the next thing to consider is the gear reduction. Gear reduction helps give your machine torque and more pulling power. What you may loose in top speed is gained in power.
When it comes to Gear Reductions, you now have 3 different options: 15%, 30% or 45%. Depending on what kind of riding you are doing, different gear reductions are recommended.
Bigger Tires
When you are running bigger tires on your machine, you may loose a bit of torque. Bigger tires puts stress on your engine and your drivetrain. A portal gear lift with gear reduction, provides more torque that allows your machine to turn over the tires with ease.
Need extra torque to get over hilly conditions and rocks? With a 15% gear reduction, it gives you a little extra oomph when at a dead stop. When your driving through ditches, need to get over rocks or debris, or just need a little extra power pulling a smaller trailer a 15% gear reduction is right for you. Allowing your machine to do a little extra.

Frame Stiffener
When ever you are raising the size of your machine off the ground, it adds more stress onto the suspension onto the unit. Some OEM frames unfortunately can't handle more tension and stress. Therefore, though it is not required, we highly recommend running a frame stiffener. No matter if you are putting on a 4", 6" or 8" a frame stiffener is always highly recommended. Especially considering the investment you are going to spend on the portal gears itself, it just makes sense to add a little extra protection. This can save you money down from having to re-build your suspension, drive train and other parts.
Installation Is Easy
No matter what kind of side by side you have, installing any a set of portal gears is a straightforward easy process that anyone can follow. Super ATV does a tremendous job provide instructions and videos walking you through the installation.
Pricing
Portal gear pricing varies depending on the specific portal you wish to purchase. Some side by side's may be limited in availability of portal gear size and features. Depending on the portal housing material you choose, the size of the lift and if you require a frame stiffener, the price may vary.
